The Taupo Darts Assn embarks on
it's 2009 season next Wednesday 11th March with the annual
playing of the Nikora Memorial Dirty Dozen Shield.
Played and decided over one nights
play, this two-life knock-out is a good way for players to sort
out their teams in preparation for League darts
that follow with the M21 Meats trophy the next week.
Before that takes place, the Assn
is having a Working Bee in order to spruce up the club-rooms to
get set for the busy season ahead. All members are urged to
help on Saturday 7th from 9am
onwards whereby a get together and BBQ will follow in lieu of
wages for those workers.
Meanwhile, the Junior players have
wasted no time in getting back into stride after their Christmas
break by turning up to practice on Wednesdays after school.
The ones that have started are
playing well and are keen to perform respectfully for the
up-coming season.
