Taupo Darts sponsored their first Easter Tournament by staging a pairs tournament on Saturday and a men's and ladies singles

on Sunday. Teams from Napier, Hastings, Waihi, kaimai, Rotorua and Taupo were entered in what was to prove to be a very

successful Tournament.

The pairs attracted 10 teams with Rex and Wendy Harper from Waihi fighting their way to a win over Taupo's

Frano Allison and Scotty Hutchins.

Damian Martin and Wayne Darlington finished third and Mark McGrath partnered Delyce McGreevy came fourth

The Men's singles on Sunday saw twenty entries to fight out the early season tournament.

After preliminary rounds were completed, eleven players survived to play in the knock-out section

Cyril Larsen (Geyserland) defeating Jeff Williams (kaimai) in the final. Taupo's Wayne Darlington acquitted himself well to take

3rd equal.

Other Taupo players to qualify for the main section were Damian Martin and Mikki McLaughlin .

Wendy Harper defeated local Mabel Allison in the Ladies singles to cap off a awesome weekend.

Char Eden and Della took the third and fourth  place spots.
