The Friday Night Ricks
Liquor Singles Series has been completed in an interesting fashion
in that none of the leading contenders could do better than advance
further than the quarter finals stage in the last match of the
series. Peter
Guthrie, having his second throw in the competition made two from
two to take the maximum points on offer for the night after
defeating Franco Allison in the final. Scotty Hutchins completed the
collection of the higher points (7) by shutting out Mabel Allison
and Geo Brook. The
result meant that all four top contenders earned just 5 points each
with Frank Allison emerging as the series winner with
82 points hotly chased
by Ivan Turdeich (81) and Geo Brook (81) with Mabel Allison (75)
completing the prize-winners circle.

Friday 4th April Just seven points separate the top four players in the Rick's Liquor Summer Singles which is played on a Friday night. after nine rounds of the ten competition having been completed .Frank Allison holds a slender one point lead ( on 77) over George Brook and Ivan Turdeich. Six points back and still in the hunt sits Mabel Allison ( 70) and a win by any one of these players will ensure a series victory. Ivan Turdeich collected the major points in the latest round with finals win over the ever-green Geo Brook. Although losing his first round life at the semi-final stage. Ivan fended of the attentions of Koiti Roore, Mabel Allison and Damian Martin to play Geo Brook in the final . wsp Saturday ,29th March After eight rounds completed in the Ricks Liquor Summer Singles series played on Friday Nights, Frank Allison has taken a narrow lead in the competition after victorious in the competition for the second time.Frank had to fend of the challenge of Ivan Turdeich in the final of the two life 701 double/start competition after winning his way through by completing wins over Wayne Place and Ivan Turdeich in the first life.Placie got hi revenge in the second life only to be beaten by Ivan who then went on to beat Damian Martin to set up a final game against frank. Frank now leads the series on 70 pts closely followed by Geo Brook (66),Mabel Allison (65), Ivan Turdeich (56). wsp
