10 players (6 of whom were on their first darts trip )enjoyed a great day at theLower NI Darts Tournament held at Palm Nth last weekend.It was a real eye-opener for a lot of them and they all gained heaps of experience from the trip.One team qualified for the main round after having drawn games against Hutt Valley,Manawatu and Wairarapa so they were rapt with their effort.Unfortunately we drew Hutt Valley again in the knock-out and lost 4-2 in a game that could have gone either way.The other team played a Hastings team and after fighting to a 3-3 draw,only just lost the team game after several players had a chance at finishing. The Coach was very happy with the players attitude and we look forward to the Region 4 play-offs on May3rd.
